A distant and obscured starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Stratheden (1937) at anchor off Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia. She has her port anchor deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged to a shell door amidships and another ladder is rigged to her lower deck aft. Lifeboats 5 and 15 have been launched and she is flying the Blue Peter from the port yardarm on her foremast. The photographer is looking south-east across the harbour from the landing pier showing a local passenger launch named Triton alongside the pier with passengers waiting to return to the Stratheden. The end of the Kase breakwater is on the left and Fort St. Ivana (Fort St. John) on the right. Negatives numbers P85017 to P85021 were taken on the same occasion.
