A slightly distant stern view, taken from a high vantage point, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathmore (1935) alongside the Molo Angioino at Naples, Italy. She has a brow rigged aft and the stacked lifeboats 17 and 17A at her starboard quarter have been swung out ready for lowering. A tug is approaching her starboard side amidships. The quay is almost deserted except for a few motor cars and a very small number of people. The clock on the passenger terminal is reading 3.43. Mount Vesuvius is in the background. Negatives numbers P85035, P85042, P85083 and P85101 were taken on the same occasion.
