A very distant port quarter view, taken from fine off the stern, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Strathmore (1935) at anchor off Dubrovnik, Yugoslavia. She has her starboard anchor deployed, accommodation ladders are rigged amidships and aft and lifeboat number 16 has been launched. She is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm of her foremast. The photographer is looking south-east-by-east across the Old Town harbour from the landing pier showing Fort St. Ivana and the Porporela (south) breakwater. Lifeboat number 15 is approaching the landing pier. Negatives numbers P85088 to P85092 were taken during the same visit.
