Short journal of the Wanderings of HMS Brisk (1886) between February 1893 - February 1894

A leather, card and cloth-bound photograph album containing images of the torpedo cruiser HMS Brisk’s tour around parts of Asia and the Middle East between November 1892 and February 1984. The inside front cover includes a handwritten index of the photographs, some with dates, as well as the ship's movement. The inside of the back cover has a short synopsis of the commission and who the various photographers were that supplied prints to the compiler. The front cover, with 'M S' in gold gothic script, is loose.

Photographs of places visited by or photographs gifted to the compiler: Calcutta, Secunderabad, Bombay, Hydrabad, Aden, The Persian Gulf, The Maldives, Cashmere and Ceylon (Kandy). It includes panoramic views of places, the local population, camel drivers and coaling teams at Aden, and the new Sultan of the Maldives and his entourage.

Interior of Brisk: Commander's cabin, the Wardroom, the torpedo room, and photographs of the officers and some of the crew. There are two photographs of officers acting on the stage at the Garrison Theatre, Aden.

Photographs of Officers: Commander Charles Streeten, Lt. Henry Worthington, Lt. Thomas Brandreth, Lt. William Ruck-Keene, Paymaster Frederick Mortimer, Dr Charles Sharples, Chief Engineer Robert Edwards, Engineer Ernest Head, Assistant Engineer Percy Wheater.
