Two fuel or water lighters are berthed abreast aft of the ladder. She is flying the Blue Peter from the starboard yardarm of her foremast. A small cargo ship is heading out of the harbour. The photographer is looking east-north-east from the Upper Barrakka showing six 18 pdr. field howitzers in the Saluting Battery in the foreground. Ricasoli and the harbour entrance is in the background.
