The steering gear on the afterdeck of an unidentified steel hulled spritsail barge berthed on the mud alongside a concrete lighter in Hoo Marina, Kent, with the wooden hulled spritsail barge Victor (1895) outboard. The steel barge is fitted with a heavy four-spoke chaff cutter steering wheel and she has been stripped of most of her fittings. On shore in the background and seen from off her port side is the hulk of an unidentified wooden built sailing vessel. She has a reddish-brown hull with white bulwarks. A white painted companionway is on her foredeck and she has a flat transom stern with external rudder and gallows projecting over the stern, presumably for a boat.
