The wreck of the Liberty ship Richard Montgomery (1943) in the Thames Estuary off Sheerness, Kent. The top of her superstructure and the tops of the three masts are visible and there are warning notices on the mast crosstrees. The photographer is in a boat fine off the port quarter of the wreck which is in two parts. A large prohibited area warning light buoy is in the left foreground. Negatives numbers PM2342/17 to PM2343/19 were taken on the same occasion.
