The wreck of the Liberty ship Richard Montgomery (1943) in the Thames Estuary off Sheerness, Kent. The top of her superstructure and the tops of the three masts are visible and there are warning notices on the mast crosstrees. The photographer is in a boat abaft the starboard side of the wreck which is in two parts. Two of her 20mm gun tubs are prominent on the roof of the superstructure. Negatives numbers PM2342/17 to PM2343/19 were taken on the same occasion.
