They are in very light airs and both have staysails and jibsails set. May is on the left with a Tate + Lyle logo on her topsail and Gladys is on the right with a Sunblest Bread logo on her topsail. The staysail barge Scone (1919) with a PREEDCRETE logo on her topsail is beyond the May. The entrance locks to Chatham dockyard basins are in the left background. Negatives numbers PM2355/27A to PM2356/36A were taken on the same day.
