A distant bow view of four spritsail barges under sail racing during the 1981 Blackwater Match. From left to right the barges are the Felix (1893), Repertor (1924), Vigilant (1904) and Ironsides (1900). They are all on the starboard tack. The Felix has all white sails and the Repertor also has all white sails but she has a Crowned Head logo on her topsail. The Vigilant has a white staysail and a Crossed Keys logo on her topsail. The Ironsides has a white staysail and the RDL logo on her topsail. The race starts off Osea Island in the Blackwater and runs out into the Thames Estuary to the Wallet Spitway off Clacton before turning for the run back.
