The British India Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Chakdara (1951) loading cargo in Barry Docks, South Wales. The ship is berthed port side to the wharf and the photographer is on board looking forward and to port over number 1 hold showing a stevedore standing by the port side of the hatch looking down into the hold and directing the movement of a crane hook and slings. By the side of the hatch is a large packing crate containing Bedford parts and consigned th Chandhara Industries Ltd, Karachi. The transparency is stained in the bottom right corner.
