Four British India Steam Navigation Company cadets cleaning lifeboat number 6 on board the cargo liner and cadet training ship Chantala (1950) while berthed in the Royal Albert Dock, London. The photographer is looking forward from the top deck showing the lifeboat under its davits with the cadets inside the boat washing down the seats. Berthed in the left background and seen from off her starboard quarter is the Cunard Line cargo liner Parthia (1963). Negatives numbers N85778 to N85818 inclusive were taken on the same day.
