A cargo of sisal being landed from a British India Steam Navigation Company 'M' class cargo liner in a British port using Slingfast cargo gear. There are four ships in the 'M' class, Manora (1970), Merkara (1971), Morvada (1971) and Mulbera (1971). The photographer is on the quayside looking forward from abreast number 3 hold showing eight slings of sisal being lowered. The ship's Stulcken derrick dominates the top of the picture.
