A starboard bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger/cargo liner Himalaya (1949) leaving a Jones Bay wharf in Darling Harbour, Sydney, N.S.W. Two tugs are assisting her to turn into the main stream as she reverses away from the wharf. A large number of well-wishers are on the wharf which is littered with the remains of streamers. The finger jetty of the Adelaide Steamship Company is on the right of the picture. Negatives numbers P62204CT to P62206CT were taken on the same occasion.
