Two elderly cabin class passengers on the starboard boat deck of the British India Steam Navigation Company educational cruise ship Nevasa (1956) while under way on a cruise. They are sitting in deck chairs under lifeboat number 11, facing the sun which is coming from the starboard side. The woman has her eyes closed but the novel "A Man Apart" by Jan Rabie is on her lap. The man is holding a pipe and the novel "The Captain" by Jan de Hartog. The photographer is looking aft and slightly to starboard showing lifeboat 13 in the background.
