Passengers on the brow alongside the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger liner Oriana (1960) in port.
Passengers on the brow alongside the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger liner Oriana (1960) in port. The brow is in two parts supported on a tower. The lower part of the brow is parallel to the ship's side and the upper part is connected to a shell door in the starboard side of the ship. The brow is displaying the shadow P & O logo which was introduced in 1971. The people on the brow may be returning from a trip ashore with their souvenirs and purchases. The photographer is on the quayside looking up and aft and the young woman nearest the camra is carrying a wooden bowl. The man next to her is carrying a box which probably contains a National Model FG 521DU portable record player.
