On board the motor tug St. Eval (1930) during the dry docking of the motor tanker North Earl (1956) in Falmouth Docks, Cornwall. The photographer is on the port side of the towing deck looking aft showing the running gog attached to the manilla hawser connected to the tanker's starboard quarter. Two men are on deck and one of them is standing by the capstan winch holding the rope of the running gog which is almost bowsed down. The tanker, seen from dead astern, is almost completely inside No. 4 graving dock and she has her stern mooring lines ashore. Transparencies numbers P63560CT to P63640CT inclusive were taken on the same day.
