An on board detail showing cargo being loaded into number four hold of the British India Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Chakdara (1951) in Tilbury Dock, Essex. The photographer is on the aft end of the port side boat deck looking aft and to starboard showing crates consigned to Ghandhara Industries Ltd of Karachi in the bottom of the hold. A large wooden packing case containing Bedford Truck parts is on the deck abreast the hold. Berthed in the background are the general cargo vessels Sirsa (1950) and the passenger/cargo liner Himalaya (1949). Transparencies numbers P80000CT to P80028CT were taken on the same occasion.
