The photographer is on the quayside looking to starboard and showing a wooden packing case consigned to Ghandara Industries Ltd of Karachi about to be lifted from the quayside. A steel lighter owned by Vokins & Co Ltd and containing a large number of tyred wheels is between the ship and the quay. Another Vokins lighter is on the starboard side of the ship's bow.
