A stern view of the British India Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Barpeta (1960) alongside a wharf at Fremantle, Western Australia. She is berthed port side to the quay and is loading a cargo of "Watsonia" meat and smallgoods products from vans on the quayside. The ship is using her own cranes and derricks to work the cargo and the 3 ton crane number 3 is on the dockside. One of the crew is on a plank stage hanging over the stern to do some repainting.
