Passengers' baggage being hoisted on board the British India Steam Navigation Company passenger/cargo liner Sangola (1947) which is alongside a finger jetty at Hong Kong. On railway trollies are wooden packing cases labelled for Calcutta. The ship is berthed starboard side to the jetty and the photographer is looking forward along the jetty from abreast the ship's stern. Transparencies numbers PCT429 to PCT433 inclusive were taken on the same day.
