Scale 1:24. Plan shows the hold and midship section for a unnamed 69ft barge for torpedo service for the Royal Engineers (1879). The title of the plan is "Hold and Midship Section of Barge fitted complete for Torpedo Service for the use of the Royal Engineers. Prepared in Accordance with Controller of the Navy's Order of the 18th November 1878 S/ 11877/ S14182 and with references to officer's letter of this day". The plan bears a Chatham Dockyard stamp, dated 18 March 1879. The drawing has been signed by R. W. Saunders [Chief Constructor at Chatham Dockyard 1872-1883] and W. Eames [Chief Engineer Chatham Dockyard 1870-1883]. The plan also bears a Devonport Dockyard stamp, dated 27 March 1879. This drawing bears the signature of A. B. Sturdee [Chief Constructor of Devonport Dockyard 1878-1883]. The drawing also bears a Keyham Factory stamp, dated 2 April 1879.
