Work being undertaken on the propeller and stern of an unidentified ship in dry dock.

Work being undertaken on the propeller and stern of an unidentified ship in dry dock. The four-bladed bronze propeller is suspended in wire slings. The hull has been sand-blasted and red-leaded in parts with new depth markings in white on a freshly painted black panel just forward of the propeller shaft. The photographer is looking down at the starboard side of the stern from the top of the dock. If this is in London the work is being undertaken by R. & H. Green & Silley Weir Ltd. If it is in Falmout then Silley, Cox & Co. Ltd. are doing the work.
