Students at the ship's rail on board the British India Steam Navigation Company educational cruise ship Nevasa (1956) when arriving at Beirut, Lebanon. They are all wearing overcoats as the ship approaches her berth. Two lines of motor coaches are waiting on the quayside. The starboard forepart and part of the superstructure of the Roumanian passenger/cargo liner Transilvania (1938) can be seen alongside a berth in the background. The photographer is R. Spillman and he is looking at the backs of the students. Negatives PM1847/1A to PM1847/3A were taken on the same occasion.
