The Nur Mountains to the east of the docks in Iskenderun, Turkey. The photographer is on board the general cargo ship Eskdalegate (1969) berthed in port, looking over the quayside warehouses and the railway goods yard to open fields and one of the Nur Mountain peaks. This is Slide 17 of Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture titled "Lumber, Lorries and Luck", about his service as Second Officer on board the Eskdalegate from 13 November 1976 to May 1977. The lecture consists of 44 out of 45 slides (Slide 1 is missing).
