Mortar Vessels as proposed by Captain Julius Roberts Royal Marine Artillery (1855)

Scale 1:12. Plan shows the profile and front view of cannons and a plan view of the mortar bed plus fittings for mortar vessels designed by Captain Julius Roberts R. M. A at Woolwich Dockyard (1855). Written on the reverse of the plan are the words "Sketch of Mortar fitted on the plan of Capt Roberts". The title of the plan is "Mortar and Mortar bed as planned by Captain Julius Roberts R. M. A. and fitted to Mortar Vessels at H. M. D. Yard Woolwich". The plan is extremely fragile and is in need of conservation.
