A staged photograph of young male trainees hauling on a rope on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) while under sail. The rope they are pulling is coiled on a belaying pin attached to the starboard aft fiferail abreast the steering position. They are all wearing heavy weather gear and one of the boys has the M4 armband. The ropes on the fiferail are a mix of stranded and braided types. The photographer is looking aft from the deck abreast the aft end of the deckhouse.
