Two trainee boys on the bowsprit pulling on ropes connected to the forestay on board the 3-masted topsail schooner Malcolm Miller (1968) while under sail in Spithead. They are reaching high above head height and one of the them is wearing a safety harness. Another boy is about to climb onto the bowsprit. The photographer is looking forward from the port side of the foredeck just abaft the heel of the bowsprit.
