A copy of a plan shows the sheer lines, longitudinal half breadth and body plan for a group of sailing schooners to be used at the Australia Station for the suppression of the Slave Trade in the South Seas Islands. This drawing relates to the vessels Alacrity [ex- Ethel] (Purchased 1872), Beagle (1872), Sandfly (1872), Conflict (1872) & Renard (1872). The title of the plan is "Colonial vessels for suppression of Slave Trade in South Seas Islands- to be built at Sydney". The plan bears the signatures of John Cuthbert [Shipbuilder 1814-1874], Henry Burns and Thomas Spence. The words "The drawing referred to in the bonds to which we have this day set our hands and seals" are also written on the drawing. The top left corner of the plan is missing.
