The photographer is standing on the port side of the ship looking down at the workers on the quayside. Three of the women and one man are leaning against a white painted coregated iron building on the quayside. The sliding door of the corregated iron building is open on the left hand side of the image. One women is sitting on a wooden pallet in the foreground. This is Slide 14 of Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture titled "Caribbean Cargoes", about his service as Second Officer on board Jamaica Planter (1959) and Port Officer for Jamaica Banana Producers Steam Ship Company based at Kingston, Jamaica from 6 January 1971 to 26 April 1971. The lecture consists of 45 slides.
