A slightly distant starboard quarter view of the Royal Yacht Britannia (1953) at anchor in the Solent, off Cowes, at the start of the Solent to the Skaw Tall Ships Race. She has accommodation ladders rigged forward and amidships, is dressed overall and is flyinf the Royal Standard. The Soviet sail training barque Kruzenshtern (1926), with all sails set, is passing ahead of the Britannia. She is on the port tack and is heeling to starboard. A large number of yachts and leisure craft are in the picture.
