A slightly distant starboard bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the lug rigged yacht Sea Gull (1874) under sail in the Downs. She has a lute stern and has a lug foresail and mizzen and a jib set on a traveller. She has a crew of two who are dressed in oilskins and sou'westers. The Sea Gull was owned by Edgar Tarry Adams and he may be the man at the tiller. A brig rigged sailing vessel is anchored in the background. Negatives numbers G5561, G5562 and G5564 are of the same vessel on the same occasion.
