A port quarter view of the wreck of the five-masted ship Preussen under the cliffs of St. Margaret's Bay, Kent. She was severely damaged in collision with the cross-channel ferry Brighton just before midnight on 4 November and her foremast and bowsprit were broken. She was anchored but her anchor chains broke in a gale and she drove ashore on 6 November. The wreck was destroyed in a series of gales in the period 4 to 11 January 1911. The hull has been badly broken and only the main, middle and mizzen lower masts are still standing.
