The three yachts owned by Edgar Tarry Adams on the beach at Walmer, Kent.

The three yachts owned by Edgar Tarry Adams on the beach at Walmer, Kent. On the left with her bow towards the water is the 2 masted lugger Sea Gull (1874), dressed overall. Alongside her is a rowing boat and the single masted lug-rigged dinghy Spitfire (1898). In the centre of the picture, and with her bow pointing up the beach, is the single masted, lug-rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) dressed overall. Next to the promenade is a wooden hut and a large beach capstan. The hut, owned by Edgar Tarry Adams, is flying the burgee of the Cambridge University Crusing Club. On the skyline a two-funnelled, three masted passenger/cargo liner is steaming through the Downs, heading north.
