Mackerel fishing using beach nets at Deal or Walmer, Kent.
Mackerel fishing using beach nets at Deal or Walmer, Kent. A large group of men on the shingle beach hauling in a net full of mackerel. The photographer is standing in the shallows looking up the beach and a number of spectators, including children, are watching the fishermen. This negative has been badly damaged by damp but it was taken on the same occasion as negative number N19136 which has not been damaged and gives a much better picture.
