The single masted dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) being towed close inshore along the beach at Deal, Kent. This vessel was known in the Adams family as "The lifeboat", The two occupants of the boat are believed to be Edgar Tarry Adams sitting down and Francis Norris Adams standing up. One of their regular assistants is walking along the beach, pulling on the painter, towards Walmer. A note on the negative says the photographer is using Camera B.
