Kuwaiti people, mainly men, in the Street of Pillars in Kuwait. Most of the Kuwaiti men are wearing white robes and headdresses whilst a boy and a man are each wearing a white shirt and shorts. The men are standing on a street corner and numerous pillars are in the middle and background. Cars are in the background on the left hand side of the image. More buildings with pillars lining the opposite side of the street are in the background. Two people are crossing the street in the middle ground. This is a duplicate transparency. This is Slide 50 of a lecture given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Senior Second Officer and Navigator on board the tanker Malwa (1961), owned by the P&O Group, from 14 November 1963 to 9 March 1964. The lecture consists of 75 slides.
