A port quarter view of the two masted, lug rigged yacht Sea Gull (1874) drawn up on the beach at Walmer, Kent. Edgar Tarry Adams is on board in the boat's cockpit with his two daughters Pauline and Isabel Mary. His eldest son Francis Norris is standing by the side of the yacht and his youngest son is taking the photograph. The Sea Gull has all three of her sails set and the wind is blowing from the starboard side. Edgar is possibly teaching his daughters the rudiments of sailing. A vertical format negative.
