A port bow view of the lug rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) at the water's edge at Deal, Kent. Her sail is hoisted and Francis Norris Adams is standing behind the mast. A man on the shingle beach is connecting a hauling rope to the boat's forefoot. The Adams family referred to this boat as "the lifeboat".
