A slightly distant starboard bow view of the lug rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) under sail in The Downs, off Walmer, Kent.
A slightly distant starboard bow view of the lug rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) under sail in The Downs, off Walmer, Kent. She is on the starboard tack in very calm conditions and Francis Norris Adams is at the helm. The Adams family referred to this boat as "the lifeboat". A Royal Navy torpedo boat destroyer and a single funnel, two masted steamer are at anchor in the background. A note on the vertical format negative says the photographer is using Camera B.
