A port quarter view of the lug rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) at anchor in The Downs, off Walmer, Kent. A lantern is fitted on a halyard attached to the unstayed mast. The four Adams family children, Francis Norris, Isabel Mary, Gordon and Pauline are in the boat and Francis is standing while pulling on a hand fishing line. Isabel is also holding a hand fishing line. Walmer is in the background. The Adams family referred to this boat as "the lifeboat". A vertical format negative.
