A port bow view of the lug rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) approaching Walmer beach, Kent, under oars. A crew member is at the oars, Gordon Adams is in the bow with a coil of rope, Isabel Mary Adams is on the starboard side of the stern and Pauline Adams is on the port side. They are returning from a fishing trip. The Adams family referred to this boat as "the lifeboat". A number of vessels are under sail heading south in The Downs.
