A starboard bow view of the lug rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) being held at the water's edge on Walmer beach, Kent. An unidentified man is holding onto her bow rope while looking back at the photographer. A young girl, probably Isabel Mary Adams or Pauline Adams, is sitting in the boat. A number of sailing vessels are at anchor in The Downs. The Adams family referred to this boat as "the lifeboat".
