A slightly distant port quarter view of the lug rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) at anchor in The Downs. An awning is rigged over her boom to shelter three men who are painting and sketching. One of the men is holding an umbrella and the man on the left is Edgar Tarry Adams. The Adams family refer to this boat as "the lifeboat". A note on the negative says "Artists afloat" and Camera B is being used.
