A starboard bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the lug rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) at the water's edge on the shingle beach at Walmer, Kent. Her sail is hoisted and it is boomed out to port. An unidentified man is standing on the beach with his hands on the bow of the boat. Next to him are Francis Norris Adams, in white trousers, and Gordon Adams, the sons of the photographer. The Adams family refer to this boat as "the lifeboat".
