A slightly distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the lug rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) at the water's edge on an unknown beach, probably in south-east England. Edgar Tarry Adams is standing by her bow, holding the painter, looking towards the photographer. The Adams family refer to this boat as "the lifeboat". The coast on the left curves round across the skyline and on the left is a large coastal fortification. On the right are two large buildings and a long, low, warehouse style building with a pitched roof. Negative number N19474 was taken on the same occasion.
