A full length portrait of Henry Bird on board the tanker Malwa (1961). The photographer is standing on the upper deck looking to starboard and slightly aft showing Bird, dressed in his 2nd Officer's uniform, standing in front of the superstructure. He has two rows of medal ribbons on his jacket. The slightly curved face of the superstructure has a number of windows in it and two lights are fixed to it. A vertical format image. This is Slide 75 of a lecture given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Senior Second Officer and Navigator on board the tanker Malwa (1961), owned by the P&O Group, from 14 November 1963 to 9 March 1964. The lecture consists of 75 slides.
