A man and two schoolboys launching the single masted, lug rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) from the beach at Walmer, Kent. The boat is in the shallows and is being pushed stern first into deeper water. The man and boys have their trousers rolled up. A number of small sailing vessels are at anchor well offshore, waiting for a change in the wind direction. The horizon is not quite level.
