A slightly distant stern view of the Castle Line passenger/cargo liner Dunvegan Castle (1890) alongside a wharf in the East India Dock, Blackwall, London. She is berthed starboard side to the wharf and is working cargo with a number of lighters alongside. A four-masted barque with painted ports is berthed ahead of her and two passenger/cargo steamers are to the left, seen from off the starboard quarter. The Brunswick Hotel is in the left background. The photographer is on board the passenger/cargo liner Carisbrook Castle (1898). Negatives numbers N19725 and N19726 were taken on the same occasion.
