Looking forward from the bridge of the container ship Seatrain Valley Forge (1978) while under way at sea. The photographer is on the port side of the bridge looking forward and slightly to starboard. The ship is almost fully laden and some containers, with the letters 'STLU' and 6 digit numbers, are in the middle ground. Seatrain Pacific Services is printed on the side of some of the containers. This is Slide 9 of a lecture given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Relief Second Officer on board the container ship Seatrain Valley Forge (1978) owned by Marejet Bereiderung GMBH & Co. from 23 November 1979 to 7 February 1980. The lecture consists of 25 slides.
